I am a digital artist. Within my work I use a combination of Adobe Photoshop, digital/traditional photography and drawing. I particularly enjoy exploiting the many qualities of these mediums to produce experimental, digitally manipulated illustrative work.

Digital Prints – Rock and Fossil Festival Exhibition September 2009

The cracks, crevices, fissures and the minute detail within the fossil forms I photographed at the Wrens Nest site fascinated me and I saw a link between the idea of change, movement and life turning into rock within Jane Seaborne’s rock cycle poem. My aim was to produce what might appear from a distance to be cracks within a space, but under closer inspection holds much more detail.

The work links to Nick Pearson’s Lapworth Museum Stillborn poem and the idea that what was once alive, thrashing in a Jurassic broth becomes frozen, speared by time. The abstract shapes also link to the idea of the reflections one might see on the glass surface of an exhibition cabinet.
