The 'elements' series of poems grew out of conversations with Ken Hurd. I have tried to echo the vibrancy of Ken's work, and the contrast between exuberance and more sombre tones. 'Leaving', for instance, captures two sides of revenge, and explores the idea that everything appears to gravitate to its own element.

Another poems listed here are 'Carpe Noctem' collaborative piece with Joy Bailey and 'Perfume' a poem inspired partly by Patrick Susskind's novel of the same name. Click on the icons to find out more.
